Working category for the PQC Migration Prize — the crypto-agility competition hosted by METI/NEDO and coordinated internationally by BGIN. Committee, metrics, testbed, workshops, and the call.

### What this category is for

The competition runs 2026–2028. The Japanese Government (METI/NEDO) hosts it, publishes the call, sets the rules and awards the prize. BGIN coordinates internationally and runs the neutral evaluation testbed. This category is where the work between those two things happens in the open.

Topics that belong here:

- Evaluation committee — nominations, composition, conflicts, ratification.
- Metrics and rubric — what is measured, in what units, against which reference configuration.
- Schemes and scope — which signature schemes and which integration paths are in the testbed, and which are rulings rather than defaults.
- Testbed — harness, result schema, node hosting, reproduction.
- Workshops W1–W6 (Sep 2026 → Feb 2027) — agendas, records, decisions.
- Call text — inputs BGIN hands to the host.

### What it is not for

Threat-narrative debate about a single “Q-day” date, and proposals for new PQC primitives. The competition starts from NIST process outputs; the hard problem on public chains is deployment, evaluation, testbeds and migration governance. General PQC discussion continues on the [IKP Post Quantum Cryptography thread](https://bgin.discourse.group/t/ikp-post-quantum-cryptography-thread-06-26/1001).

### The record

Discussion happens here. The record is the repository: **[GitHub - bgin-global/pqc-agility-competition: BGIN coordination repository for the METI/NEDO PQC Migration Prize: evaluation committee, outcomes, metrics, crypto-agility testbed · GitHub](https://github.com/bgin-global/pqc-agility-competition)** — governance, outcomes, the metric register, the rubric, the testbed specification, the workshop roadmap and every decision record. The public face is the project hub on the BGIN website: [BGIN](https://bgin-global.org/projects/pqc-migration). Everything in it is `draft v0` until the evaluation committee ratifies it and the host publishes the official call. Nothing decided in a post is decided until it is in the repository.
